    Hey guys!

Music is pretty important to the Gibbous experience, and, while we're working on the tracks, we'll share them with you and you can totally tell us they rock and are perfect as they are and it's been so long since you've last heard anything so beautiful etc.

Anyway, here's a work in progress of a tune that will be playing in the dark, stinky town of Fishmouth - and it's, of course, called "The Fishmouth Waltz".

Let me know what you think! ;)

Sounds great! I'm curious about where in the game it'll fit in.

Why does this sound familiar? Was it already used anywhere? In the demo? In the streams?

Woah, good ear! Yes, a very, very early version of it is used in the Kickstarter pitch, during the team presentation. I used it there because it makes everything sound a little goofy, while still a little menacing. Much like my building administrator. Why am I thinking of him?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who caught that, Marko, was about to ask that myself before I scrolled down. That or suddenly worry about potentially being haunted by eldritch melodies from the abyss. ;)

Admittedly, I did have to use the SIA Walkthrough ;)

The track sounds good. The theme creates a atmosphere which makes some interessting pictures in my head.

It will generate the perfect mood for a walk through Fishmouth.

Sound is very important as it can change the way a scene feels, threatening or more cherful.

This has the makings of a great background piece :) I'm not great with instruments but the brass one, trombone maybe? I liked it! It evokes a feeling, a good one. I can just imagine myself plodding around in Fishmouth.

I love it! And I'm absolutely looking foreward to listening to it after it's been recorded with real instruments!
Which sampling software did you use for this track?

Love it! It's just so atmospheric, yet whimsical enough to make it a perfect fit for a comedy game as well. Keep it up guys! 8-)

Thanks, guys! It's great to be able to work on different moving parts of a project, making music for Gibbous is great fun.

We use FL Studio, and the virtual instruments are the East West Symphonic Orchestra. Really quality samples, they're fine by themselves, but I'm looking forward to replacing them with the real deal!

Aaaand here's another work in progress! Aptly titled "Unspecified Interior".

    https://soundcloud.com/gibbous-43945774 ... d-interior

It's an interior scene, rather not say where what and how. And why.

I'm working on parts of the game that will be very string-heavy. Spiccato violins, lots of cello (one of my favorite instruments, I can't wait to hear the live instrument on the tracks!), and a lot of vibrato solo violins. I can't get enough of those. This one's a little on the happy/whimsical side, too. A hell of a lot more work to be done.

I am sure you can pull a few strings and get it done.
